Special Care Dentistry is a branch of dentistry that provides oral care for people with physical, medical, developmental, or cognitive conditions which limit their ability to receive routine dental care.
Anesthesia is often an intergral part of care for this patient population. This presentation will inform dental providers on approaches to dental care for individuals with special needs based on their level of cooperation and medical needs (CP, Down Syndrome, Autism, Epilepsy ).
